ATTENDING TO ART IN HARD TIMES
I'm rusty. Haven't been writing and Substacks has changed. Asking for guidance and new skills.
Mother's family was Irish. Gibbons. County Mayo, town unknown.
Grandpa arrived in Pennsylvania and started breweries and some how became president of the largest bank in town. Through ancestry I've met another Gibbons who owns a bar in CA. Must check on him.
If you're not aware perhaps one of the world’s hottest singers is radical political artist, HOZIER. If you like protest songs that are also full of love, you may like him and learn a lot . He's very transparent about his own life and healing.
Here he plays a song for our times and explains his process.

I'll work out the embed. For now, enjoy.
And his early big hit “Take to Church" which those who don't know authoritarian Catholicism and tantric love may not understand. Trust me, it applies to our world NOW.

These are from YouTube Premium, a great investment and if you can't listen listen on your regular YouTube. Hozier is everywhere and has a website and incredible new album.
This is an always free newsletter. All copyright belongs to Hozier's publishing.
As I said, I'm very rusty and Substacks has changed. Knowledgeable help can receive pay and/or co publishing.
Be well.
